Like family, streaming content is complicated, at the very least a task in sorting out signal from noise. In the quietude and trauma of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us were forced to find the glass half full amidst the tragic. Anyone who was fortunate enough to have broadband and aligned devices in our homes was forced to learn, purchase, and live via the Internet. Spoiler Alert: One award-winning show (HT Apple TV) launched amidst the pandemic was ‘Ted Lasso’, a show aptly named for Head Coach Lasso who, alongside a very effective cast, works to induce in us better versions of ourselves, whether we’re an AFC Richmond player, staff, fan, or owner. Turns out, this also works for the viewing audience, but I suppose that’s really the point. 😝 Lasso and Coach Willis Beard are American college football coaches (Wichita State) hired to coach an English soccer (nee football) team whose owner’s undisclosed purpose is to burn the club to the ground. Things work out differently with some twists and turns.

As a lifelong coach (more like practice coach), in the summer of 2020, Ted Lasso looked like a match for me and surprisingly my nuclear family, all under a single roof. We all thoroughly enjoyed the characters…
